Join us for International Dawn Chorus Day

Listen to the birds

Celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day with Parks in Mind on Sunday 3 May from 6:00 - 7:00am.

Join top ornithologist Stuart Clarke live online on a virtual bird song walk through a Boscombe woodland. We'll listen out for the dawn chorus from song thrush, blackbirds and robins to see what we can hear on the day.

International Dawn Chorus Day is held on the first Sunday in May each year and is the worldwild celebration of nature's greatest symphony.

Stuart said, “the dawn chorus is at its peak at this time of year with the birds producing a real musical masterpiece each morning. As we can’t meet in person at the moment, we still wanted to share the amazing bird song and bring this symphony to your homes. Even in our urban environment it’s great to keep your eyes and ears open during your daily exercise as there’s so much to see and hear.”

Head to the Parks in Mind Facebook group ready to go live for 6am!
